Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Seek Shelter Immediately in Limestone, Madison, Lincoln

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Limestone, AL, Madison, AL, and Lincoln, TN, effective immediately until 7:15 PM CDT on September 21.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Huntsville AL reports that at 7:05 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hazel Green, approximately 7 miles northwest of Meridianville. The storm is moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARDS include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. The NWS advises that hail damage to vehicles is expected, and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible.

Areas impacted include Ardmore, Harvest, Toney, Elkwood, Holland Gin, Blanche, Belleview, Taft, and Cash Point.

For your protection, the NWS instructs residents to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This warning is based on radar indications.
