The Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Humphreys, Sharkey, and Washington counties in Mississippi is expiring immediately, effective September 21, 2026, at 11:00 PM CDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson, MS, has confirmed that the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits.
According to the NWS, the storm no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property, and as a result, the warning will be allowed to expire. Residents in these areas can now resume normal activities as the immediate severe weather threat has passed.
