Kentucky Governor Asks Senator McConnell for Health Update

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has called upon Senator Mitch McConnell to offer a public update on his health. Governor Beshear stated that he believes Senator McConnell should clarify his current health status and whether he deems himself capable of continuing to serve in his current position.

"The people of Kentucky deserve to know the medical facts," Governor Beshear said. He indicated that such information allows voters to assess their representation.

Senator McConnell's office has not yet released additional information in response to the governor's request.
