Hudson voters approve $59.17M budget, elect Zapp and Zibella to school board

Hudson City School District voters approved a $59.17 million budget for the 2026-27 school year on May 19, passing it 861-485.

Lou Zapp won a board seat with 858 votes, filling a vacancy plus earning a full three-year term through June 2029. Incumbent Michael Zibella secured re-election with 830 votes for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026. Royce "Rip" Noblin received 291 votes.

Voters cast ballots from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hudson Central Fire Station, Greenport Community Center, and A.B. Shaw Fire Station in Claverack.
