Pasco County residents and organizations can now hire off-duty Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) deputies for additional security and traffic control services. The PSO’s Extra Duty Program allows uniformed deputies to work in their off-duty hours for public or private events, from community gatherings to private functions.

The program provides supplementary security details, crowd management, and traffic direction. The PSO retains the right to decline job requests it deems inappropriate for its personnel.

Participation is voluntary for deputies, and the PSO may cancel details or recall deputies for official duty without prior notice. Information submitted for service requests is a public record under Florida Statute 119.07.

Extra Duty Coordinators are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. To request services, contact the program via email at [email protected] or by phone at (727) 844-7795. The mailing address is 7432 Little Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34564. A service request form is available on the PSO website.
