Pasco County Launches 'Work Local' Program with New Small Business Concierge Service

Pasco County Government has launched a new initiative, the Work Local Small Business Support Program, aimed at helping local small businesses start or expand. The first component of this program is the Small Business Concierge Service.

This new service offers personalized support to business owners. It provides a dedicated liaison to help navigate the permitting process and offers a personalized review of commercial project proposals. The service aims to expedite permitting and identify potential cost savings for businesses.

David Allen, Assistant County Administrator for Development Services, highlighted the service's role in strengthening the local business community. "This new service is part of Pasco’s ongoing commitment to strengthen the local business community and reduce common challenges," Allen said. "By connecting early in the process to determine the most efficient path forward, we can help Pasco’s small business owners meet their goals and achieve long-term success."

Dedicated team members from Planning, Development and Economic Growth and Building Construction Services provide one-on-one support. This service specifically targets local businesses with 25 employees or less.
