Hope Ranch Academy: Prepping Students with Disabilities for Careers

Hudson – Hope Ranch Learning Academy offers Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to help students with disabilities prepare for life after high school. The program equips young people with the skills and experiences needed for post-secondary education or the workforce.

The Pre-ETS initiative focuses on career interest exploration through activities and assessments, and job exploration to teach students about different roles and required skills. The program also provides practical, hands-on work-based learning experiences that simulate real-world job environments, drawing inspiration from local Pasco County industries.

The academy offers counseling for post-secondary educational programs, guiding students through college or vocational training applications. Workplace readiness training develops essential soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students also receive self-advocacy training to understand their rights and needs.
