Hope Ranch Equine Program Seeks Support in Hudson

Hope Ranch Learning Academy in Hudson is seeking community support for its equine program. Founded by Jose and Ampy Suarez, the academy uses horses to build confidence, self-esteem and peace in young people.

The program aims to help students achieve independence, nurture social skills and learn responsibility through interaction with the horses. "Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self-esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls. They give us hope!" said Tony Robinson, a supporter.

Hope Ranch needs donations of hay, grain, a two-horse bumper pull trailer, a manure spreader and horse tack. Donations are tax-deductible. Contributors should specify "for the horse program" in the donation comments.

The ranch also recognized retired horses Georgie, Tank, Cheyenne, Leo, Baxter, Wendy and Prince for their service. The staff includes Terri Nichols, Equine Services Manager; Amanda Alderson, Equine Services Trainer; Baylee Fulbright, Assistant Barn Manager; and Mike Armani, Barn Hand.
