Residents in Northern Saratoga, Northern Washington, Southeast Warren, and Southern Washington Counties must take immediate steps to protect sensitive outdoor plants from freezing temperatures.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Albany has issued a Freeze Warning effective from midnight tonight, October 6, 2026, until 8:00 AM EDT on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Temperatures are expected to drop to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below during this period.

These conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and potentially damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. The NWS advises taking action now to protect tender plants from the cold.
