Freeze Warning Issued: Protect Plants Now

A Freeze Warning has been issued for Northern Saratoga, Southeast Warren, and Washington Counties until 8:00 AM EDT today; residents should protect sensitive plants and outdoor plumbing immediately.

Residents in Northern Saratoga, Southeast Warren, and Washington Counties are advised to take immediate action to protect sensitive plants this morning, October 7.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Albany, NY, has issued a Freeze Warning effective until 8:00 AM EDT today. Temperatures are expected to drop to or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Unprotected outdoor plumbing may also be damaged. The NWS specifically advises taking steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

This warning is in effect for Northern Saratoga, Northern Washington, Southeast Warren, and Southern Washington counties.
