280 Tons Removed in Pasco County Neighborhood Cleanups
Pasco County crews hauled away 280 tons of trash and debris from three West Pasco neighborhoods during recent community cleanup events, the Board of County Commissioners announced this week.
Moon Lake accounted for 212 tons of the removal. Gulf Highlands contributed 42 tons, and Holiday Lake Estates added 26 tons. The Solid Waste, Public Works and Code Compliance departments coordinated the effort.
"These are incredible results for District 4 and the Moon Lake area," Commissioner Lisa Yeager said. "It shows how much we can accomplish when we work together to improve our community."
Commissioner Kathryn Starkey said the annual cleanups make a visible difference. "Efforts like this help keep Pasco cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone," she said.
Residents can report trash or debris in their neighborhoods through the MyPasco App by clicking Submit a Request, emailing [email protected], or calling 727-847-2411. Information about county solid waste services is available at mypas.co/TrashInfo.
