A Wind Advisory has been issued for a large portion of Middle Tennessee, with gusts up to 40 mph expected. The National Weather Service (NWS) Nashville TN advises residents to secure outdoor objects and exercise caution, especially while driving.

The advisory is effective from 4 AM to 8 PM CDT on Saturday, October 10th. Affected counties include Stewart, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Macon, Clay, Pickett, Houston, Humphreys, Dickson, Cheatham, Davidson, Wilson, Trousdale, Smith, Jackson, Putnam, Overton, Fentress, Perry, Hickman, Lewis, Williamson, Maury, Marshall, Rutherford, Cannon, De Kalb, White, Cumberland, Bedford, Coffee, Warren, Grundy, Van Buren, Wayne, Lawrence, and Giles.

East winds are forecast to be between 10 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph. These conditions may cause unsecured objects to be blown around, and tree limbs could be brought down. Isolated power outages are also a possibility.

The NWS warns that strong winds can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Drivers are urged to use extra caution during this period.
