Mater Palms Academy: Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility Expires Sept. 26, New Applications Required

Mater Palms Academy reminds families about upcoming changes to lunch eligibility. The previous school year's free and reduced-price meal eligibility expired on September 26, 2025. Families who did not reapply by that date reverted to paid status for school meals.

To continue receiving free or reduced-price meals, families must submit a new application. New eligibility becomes effective from the date the application is processed and does not apply retroactively. This means any meals consumed before the new application's processing date will be charged at the full rate if the previous eligibility expired.

Applications for free and reduced-price meals are available throughout the school year. Families experiencing a change in financial status can reapply at any time. Eligibility depends on household size and income criteria. Submit completed applications to the main office, attention Jessica Sosa. The school keeps all information provided on the application confidential and uses it solely for determining eligibility.

School lunch costs $4.00, while breakfast is free. Reduced-price lunch costs $.40, and reduced-price breakfast is also free.
