FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WINDERMERE POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY SAFETY INITIATIVE WINDERMERE, FL – The Windermere Police Department (WPD) today announced a new Community Safety Initiative designed to reduce crime and improve the safety and security of Windermere residents. The initiative includes several key components: * Increased Police Patrols: WPD will increase patrols in key areas known for higher crime rates. * Community Engagement Programs: WPD will host a series of community engagement programs, including neighborhood watch meetings and safety workshops. * Partnerships with Local Organizations: WPD will partner with local organizations to address the root causes of crime. A community forum will be held on September 15th at the Windermere Community Center to discuss the initiative in more detail.
