Solid Waste Centers

Solid Waste Centers Jackson County operates two convenience centers (solid waste centers) for citizens of Jackson County. These centers are provided for Jackson County residents to dispose of household garbage. There is no charge for the disposal of household garbage. Businesses and out-of-county residents are prohibited from using these centers. Solid Waste Convenience Centers do not accept: • Commercial waste • Business waste • Out of County waste • Hazardous waste • Liquid waste • Paint in liquid form • Lead-acid batteries • Used oil • Brush • Tires • Appliances containing Freon • Appliances • Construction or demolition debris • Asphalt shingles • Lumber • Metal • Fencing • Furniture • Mattresses • Electronic waste • Hot ashes • Dead animals • Other special waste For assistance with the disposal of these items, please contact the Jackson County Solid Waste Department at 931-268-0213.
