Hendersonville Wins 35th Tree City USA Award

The Arbor Day Foundation has designated Hendersonville a Tree City USA for the 35th consecutive year, recognizing the city's commitment to urban forestry.

Hendersonville meets national standards that include maintaining a tree board, a tree care ordinance, a community forestry program funded at $2 per capita annually, and an Arbor Day proclamation. The city's tree canopy provides shade, improves air quality, reduces stormwater runoff, and boosts property values.

The Tree City USA program, established in 1976, has recognized communities nationwide that sustain forestry efforts over decades. Hendersonville ranks among a select group with a 35-year streak.
