Harriman mourns passing of Linda Parker

Harriman lost a beloved community member with the passing of Linda Carol Parker, age 77, who died on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Mrs. Parker was known for her love of the outdoors, her dogs, and above all, her family.

Mrs. Parker's life centered around her family and her passions. She enjoyed fishing and spending time working in her yard. Her dedication to her loved ones was a defining characteristic, as she cherished every moment spent with them.

Linda Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Dale “Buddy” Parker, and her parents, Carter and Myrtle Buck Bolden. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Dickie, Jimmy, and Mike Bolden.

She is survived by her son, William “Willy” Parker of Oliver Springs, TN, and her daughter, Ann Gunter, and her husband, David Gunter, of Harriman, TN. Mrs. Parker also leaves behind five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family extended special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice team, specifically her nurse, Terry, for their compassionate care. They also expressed gratitude to Senior Moments and gave a very special thank you to her caregivers, Kara and Loretta, for their dedicated support.

As of today, September 19, 2026, no services have been planned for Mrs. Parker. The family asks the community to check back for any updates regarding memorial arrangements.
