Polk County Jail Gets New Medical Provider After YesCare Bankruptcy

Staff Writer

Polk County Sheriff's Office Replaces Bankrupt Jail Medical Provider

The Polk County Sheriff's Office terminated its 33-year contract with YesCare after the medical services provider filed for bankruptcy on May 8, 2026. Sheriff's Office executives determined the bankruptcy breached the contract and rendered YesCare unable to provide reliable medical care at the jail.

CFG Health Systems began providing medical services at the jail today under a new contract. CFG agreed to retain all current healthcare staff, ensuring no interruption in inmate care.

"Throughout this transition, our healthcare professionals have demonstrated their ethical and moral commitment to providing quality care to Polk County jail inmates," Sheriff Grady Judd said. "I am thankful for their steadfast professionalism."
