Limited free parking is available immediately adjacent to the theatre, with additional paid parking just south on Gulf Drive and free parking at Roser Community Church. We recommend allowing a few extra minutes before your performance to find the parking option that works best for you. The Island Players Adjacent Parking Lot 10009 Gulf Dr., Anna Maria, FL FREE PARKING The Island Players has a small public parking lot located immediately south of the theatre with 16 spaces, including 3 accessible parking spaces. Parking is first come, first served and the lot is shared with other visitors to Anna Maria Island, so availability may be limited during busy periods. Volunteers

We are a not-for-profit comprised almost entirely of volunteers! If you count our board of directors, play directors, stage managers, actors, box office staff, production / set / lighting / sound / costume designers, hair & makeup staff, props / construction / site maintenance crew, social media managers, ushers, and the Off-Stage Ladies, we number well over 300+ who keep our little theater on the Island running - all through our sheer love for what we can provide for our community! Reach out for more info! As part of the back-of-house team, you’ll help prepare everything backstage and onstage before a show. During the show, you’ll provide costuming assistance, prop handoffs, and the onstage “magic” for each production. Backstage Crew support the Stage Manager and Actors with the running of a show. After a couple of hours of orientation per production, your time commitment will be 3.5 hours per shift, with approximately 3-5 shifts per production. No experience necessary; training will be provided. Multiple positions available. As part of the front-of-house team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the theater is ready for patrons on the night of a show. House Managers not only interact with patrons, they also manage ushers and work in tandem with the Box Office team and Stage Manager. After a couple of hours of training, your time commitment will be 3.5 hours per shift, with approximately two shifts required per production. No experience necessary; training will be provided. Multiple positions available. The Off-Stage Ladies of the Island Players is a fun-loving group that supports the theater in numerous ways. We meet from October through May on the second Wednesday of each month at local venues. We look to provide programming related to the theater in a relaxed social setting that allows you to meet interesting people. There are wonderful volunteer opportunities for Off Stage Ladies. For example, we usher for each play and provide a meal for our cast members during the long dress rehearsal. Off Stage Ladies also may assist with props, lighting, costumes, and more. Your commitment can be very flexible. We are always looking for new members to join us! If you are outgoing, organized, and fun, help us grow our volunteer organization. The Island Players are looking for dedicated and organized individuals to volunteer as Stage Managers for our upcoming productions. This is a vital role in the success of our shows, requiring commitment and attention to detail. Responsibilities include: * Scheduling and running rehearsals * Communicating with cast and crew * Managing backstage operations during performances * Assisting the Director with various tasks This is a rewarding opportunity to be an integral part of our community theatre and contribute to the magic of live performance. No prior experience is necessary, but a passion for theatre and strong organizational skills are a must.
