Emerson Creek Wind Project Construction Ramps Up in Oxford

Apex Clean Energy is intensifying construction on the Emerson Creek Wind project in Oxford Township, with turbine component deliveries set to begin in late February. Residents should expect increased truck traffic on local roads through the spring.

Concrete trucks will frequent the area as crews pour foundations for turbine locations. Crews are also burying underground electrical cables along roadways to connect turbines to the main substation. All oversized loads will travel designated routes with pilot vehicle escorts.

Apex Clean Energy says the project will generate tax revenue for local schools and government services, along with lease payments to participating landowners across Oxford Township, Sandusky, and Erie County.
