Staff Writer

Lebanon to Upgrade Railroad Crossing Warning Systems Downtown

Lebanon will modernize railroad crossing warning systems at South River Street and South Main Street, improving safety for motorists and pedestrians.

The project includes new equipment, circuitry, and traffic signals at the intersections of SR 123/South Main Street with West Sixth Street and South River Street with West Sixth Street. The signals will coordinate with railroad crossing devices to manage traffic flow when trains approach. Workers will also upgrade curb ramps to meet ADA standards and ensure all warning devices function and meet federal safety requirements.
