Rambo Memorial Health Center offers screenings to help support the health and well-being of our patients. Cholesterol ALT/AST Screening At a cost of $25 for all patients. Calling ahead for an appointment is strongly encouraged. A 12-hour fasting period prior to testing is recommended to ensure accuracy of your testing. Cholesterol screening measures the following: Total Cholesterol HDL (good cholesterol) LDL (bad cholesterol) Triglycerides ALT/AST (liver function) Glucose Our nursing staff will explain your test results and provide you with American Heart Association approved lists of foods to help bring your cholesterol numbers in line with current AMA recommendations. We will fax or mail your cholesterol results to your physician at your request. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel At a cost of $25 for all patients. This test does not require a doctor’s order and we strongly encourage calling ahead to schedule an appointment. Testing includes results for electrolytes, kidney function, liver function and protein. Hemoglobin A1c Screening Hemoglobin A1c testing is provided at a cost of $20 for all patients. Calling ahead for an appointment is strongly encouraged. Hemoglobin A1c screening monitors the average blood glucose levels over the last 3 months for those with a diagnosis of diabetes. It is an indicator of overall blood glucose control.Fasting is not necessary. Contact Us + Our Services TB Tests Tuberculosis (TB) tests are performed upon the request of an individual, a referral from a physician’s office, or by the request of a local employer. Influenza Vaccine (Flu) Rambo Memorial Health Center provides influenza vaccine according to the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), flu shots will be available when the vaccine arrives (usually in September of each year). Pneumococcal Vaccine (Pneumonia) Pneumonia shots are given daily at the clinic. Patients need to have a prescription from their healthcare provider. Pulmonary Function Tests Pulmonary Function Tests are performed upon the request of an individual’s personal physician, our Clinic’s Medical Director, or upon request of the patient. Chest X-Rays Vouchers for chest x-rays are provided upon the request of an individual’s personal physician, or our Clinic’s Medical Director.
