Whiteville Native Wins National Recreation Scholarship
Camrahn Jamison, a master's student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, won one of two 2026 National Student Scholarship Awards from the National Recreation and Park Association. The association will present the award at its annual conference in September.
Jamison enrolled in UNCG's online Community Recreation Management program as one of its first students. He works as a graduate assistant at Winston-Salem Recreation and Parks and holds certification as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
The scholarship funds conference attendance, where Jamison will network with recreation and park professionals from municipal, county, and state agencies. The NRPA selects two recipients annually from applicants across the country.
