The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children, whether they attend schools near the historic Hale County Courthouse or further afield, have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Dr. Bridgett Lewis serves as the Federal Programs/Title I Director for the Alabama Department of Education, overseeing initiatives aimed at providing equitable educational opportunities for students across the state, including those in communities like Greensboro.
