Tucson, AZ – The Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tucson AZ for Southern Arizona has concluded. The advisory, which was in effect until 2:00 PM MST today, October 4, indicated that the strongest winds have already peaked.

Residents in the affected areas, including the Upper Santa Cruz River and Altar Valleys (Nogales), Tucson Metro Area (Tucson, Green Valley, Marana, Vail), South Central Pinal County (Eloy, Picacho Peak State Park), Southeast Pinal County (Kearny, Mammoth, Oracle), Upper San Pedro River Valley (Sierra Vista, Benson), Eastern Cochise County Below 5000 Feet (Douglas, Willcox), Upper Gila River and Aravaipa Valleys (Clifton, Safford), Galiuro and Pinaleno Mountains (Mount Graham), Chiricahua Mountains (Chiricahua National Monument), Dragoon/Mule/Huachuca and Santa Rita Mountains (Bisbee, Canelo Hills, Madera Canyon), Santa Catalina and Rincon Mountains (Mount Lemmon, Summerhaven), and Baboquivari Mountains (Kitt Peak), can expect breezy conditions through the rest of the afternoon. These conditions are now below advisory criteria.

The NWS Tucson AZ issued the advisory at 1:52 PM MST on October 4, 2026. No further wind-related advisories are currently in effect for these regions.
