GCHS Senior Evan Teskey: Drama, Choir & Leadership
Evan Teskey leaves Greenfield-Central High School with a resume spanning drama, choir, cheerleading, athletic leadership and student council. The graduating senior served as Class of 2026 president and student director for the school's production of "The Little Mermaid."
"Being involved is so good," Teskey said. "I have met so many different kinds of people and gotten to know different teachers on personal levels."
Principal Dan Walbaum said Teskey appeared at every school event he attended his first weeks on the job. "Evan is everything you could ever want in a high school graduate," Walbaum said. "He truly made the most of his experience and made this a better place through his academics, involvement and leadership."
Business teacher Will Bolden credited Teskey's character. "Evan leads with kindness and integrity," Bolden said. "He supports peers, encourages younger students and consistently demonstrates maturity and empathy." Teskey won the Don Jackson Cougar Way Award for compassion, among other recognitions for service, leadership and athletics.
Teskey, the son of Patrick Teskey, Emily Teskey and Eric McIntyre, attended Greenfield-Central schools since elementary. He swam through 10th grade, performed in madrigal and show choir, and worked both on stage and behind the scenes in theater.
He will study entrepreneurship at Ball State University on a scholarship as a business program ambassador. Teskey completed an internship with Joyner Homes in Greenfield and plans to open a business combining food and live jazz.
