A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Greene County, effective immediately, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile, AL. This warning is in effect until October 10, 2026, at 3:00 AM UTC.

Residents in Leakesville and McLain should move to safe shelter as hazardous winds are expected. Peak wind gusts could reach 45 mph, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. All efforts to protect property should be completed as soon as possible.

Moderate flooding rain is also a significant threat. While no additional significant rainfall is forecast, moderate rainfall flooding may prompt evacuations and rescues.
