Residents in the Washington Palouse, Moses Lake Area, Upper Columbia Basin, and Spokane Area are advised to exercise caution due to a Blowing Dust Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Spokane WA.

The advisory is in effect until 9:00 PM PDT tonight, September 25, 2026. Southwest winds are expected to reach around 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph. These conditions can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.

The affected communities include Cheney, Moses Lake, Wilbur, Coulee City, Harrington, La Crosse, Odessa, Oakesdale, Ritzville, Uniontown, Downtown Spokane, Rosalia, Pullman, Tekoa, Grand Coulee, Ephrata, Davenport, Colfax, Spokane Valley, Airway Heights, Fairfield, Creston, Quincy, Rockford, and Othello.

The NWS warns that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, potentially bringing down tree limbs and causing isolated power outages. Drivers are urged to use extra caution while on the road.
