Winter Storm Warning: Heavy Snow Expected, Travel Difficulties Possible

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Cascade County (below 5000ft), Judith Basin County, Judith Gap, and Meagher County Valleys from Saturday evening to Monday morning, with heavy snow and difficult travel expected.

Residents in Cascade County (below 5000ft), Judith Basin County, Judith Gap, and Meagher County Valleys should prepare for heavy snow and difficult travel conditions. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Great Falls, MT, effective from Saturday, October 10th at 6:00 PM MDT, until Monday, October 12th at 6:00 AM MDT.

Total snow accumulations are expected to be between 5 and 10 inches, with wind gusts as high as 35 mph. These conditions could make travel very difficult, and the wet, heavy snow combined with gusty winds may bring down tree branches. Isolated power outages are also possible.

If you must travel, the National Weather Service advises keeping an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road conditions, dial 511.
