Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Southwest and West Central Kansas
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM CDT for southwest and west-central Kansas, reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or less and creating hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers in southwest and west-central Kansas are advised to slow down and use headlights due to a Dense Fog Advisory now in effect. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Dodge City has issued this advisory until 10:00 AM CDT /9:00 AM MDT/ this morning, September 28.
Visibility is reported to be one-quarter mile or less in the affected areas. This includes the counties of Scott, Lane, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Stanton, Grant, Haskell, Gray, Morton, Stevens, Seward, and Meade. Low visibility conditions could make driving hazardous.
The NWS advises that if you are driving in these areas, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and others. The advisory is effective immediately and will expire at 10:00 AM CDT today.
