Granville residents remember Rick Charles Wortman, 67, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He died from an injury sustained from a fall.
Born on August 22, 1959, Mr. Wortman found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and flooring installer. Many knew him for his passion for yard sales and antique hunting, where he always enjoyed the excitement of finding something special and unexpected. At one time, he was known as one of the best pool players in Rutland.
Mr. Wortman will be deeply missed by his mother, Priscilla Wortman of Rutland; his partner, Lori Nadeau; his son, Dillion Wortman; and his daughter, Jordan Wortman. He also leaves behind stepchildren Christopher and Carrie Nadeau; his brother, Brian Wortman; sisters-in-law Tracey, Tammy, and Linda Wortman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Clifford Wortman, and his brothers, Gary Wortman and Wayne Wortman. Rick Wortman leaves behind many memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
At the family’s request, no funeral services will be held.
