Justin Richard Griffith, 51, of West Rutland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Born on April 12, 1975, in Rutland, he was the son of Richard Griffith and Marilyn (Rohlin) Griffith.

Griffith attended Clarendon Elementary and graduated from Mill River High School in 1993. In 2002, he married Christy Wozniak. They had three children, Gabriella, Isabella, and Brodyn, whom Griffith was extremely proud of. He worked in sales for many years, most recently at Snap-On Tools, True Value Company, and Reynolds & Son.

Griffith was known for his dedication to his children's activities, often watching and cheering them on at their many sporting events. He is survived by his wife Christy and their children. Also surviving are his mother Marilyn Griffith and father Richard Griffith; his brothers, Nathan and Jesse; his stepfather Nick Santoro and stepmother Judy Stern. His mother-in-law Nancy Beane, stepfather-in-law Bob Schmidt, father-in-law Paul Wozniak, and sisters-in-law Melissa Wozniak and Kristin Beane also survive him. He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, as well as his dog, Lulu.

A celebration of Justin's life was held on Friday, September 4, at 11:00 am, at the American Legion Post 87 in West Rutland, Vermont. The family suggested donations in Griffith's memory to the West Rutland School Sports Booster Club, located at 713 Main St., West Rutland, VT 05777, in lieu of flowers.
