Senator Rand Paul Releases Anthony Fauci's Pandemic Diary Entries

Why it matters locally: While not directly impacting Utah's specific industries, the release of Dr. Fauci's pandemic diary entries and his upcoming testimony could influence national discussions on public health policy that affect all states, including Utah.

Senator Rand Paul has released diary entries from Dr. Anthony Fauci dating from the COVID-19 pandemic period. This development precedes Fauci's scheduled appearance before a Senate committee on Wednesday. Fauci will provide testimony on the origins of the coronavirus. The released documents contain personal notes from Fauci, who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and as a key advisor during the pandemic. Senator Paul's office issued the diary entries publicly.
