Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Region: Drive with Caution
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for parts of Kansas and Nebraska, including Rawlins, Decatur, and Red Willow counties, with visibility of one quarter mile or less expected. Drive with caution.
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for portions of northwest and west central Kansas and southwest Nebraska. Drivers in Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley, Wichita, and Red Willow counties should slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
The advisory, issued by the National Weather Service in Goodland, Kansas, indicates visibility of one quarter mile or less in dense fog. The first Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM CDT (9 AM MDT) this morning, September 28. A second Dense Fog Advisory will be in effect from 8 AM CDT (7 AM MDT) to 10 AM CDT (9 AM MDT) on Tuesday, September 29.
Low visibility is expected to make driving conditions hazardous during these periods. Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution on the roadways.
