Federal Agent Kills Man During Encounter in Memphis

Memphis, TN — A federal agent from Homeland Security Investigations shot and killed Jonah Neal, 25, in May, according to reports. The incident occurred in Memphis, Tennessee.

Neal's death represents at least the fourth fatal shooting associated with the Memphis Safe Task Force, a multi-agency law enforcement unit. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the shooting.

Cindy Leachman Aldridge, Neal's grandmother, shared a photo of her grandson on July 12 at her home in Owensboro, Kentucky.
