Girl Scouts Donate 146 Boxes of Cookies to BCHS Weekend Backpack Program

Brownie Troop 5067 sold 146 boxes of Girl Scout cookies this spring and donated them to Bethlehem Central High School's Weekend Backpack Program, which distributes food to students facing food insecurity.

On April 17, the Brownies delivered their donation and helped Student Senate members pack backpacks. The scouts, drawn from Eagle, Hamagrael and Slingerlands elementary schools, assembled backpacks alongside Student Senate leaders Lauren Brodeur, Lucy Buff, Gabby Pesca, Schuyler Momrow and Lily Ward. Each backpack included a box of cookies with nutritious snacks and easy-to-make meals.

Student Senate members pack 60 to 100 backpacks every Friday throughout the school year and distribute them across the district.
