O2B Kids summer camp enrollment open for children entering grades 1-8

Gainesville families looking for engaging summer activities for their children can now enroll in O2B Kids Summer Camp. The program is open to children entering first grade through eighth grade, with a special Kindergarten Camp option available for those who have just finished VPK.

The camp promises a summer filled with fun, featuring weekly themed events, internal field trips, and daily specialty classes. Children will participate in activities designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and social development. Themes range from "Pirates & Mermaids" and "Ooey Gooey Science" to "Summer Olympics" and "Art in Action," offering a diverse experience throughout the summer.

O2B Kids emphasizes a "FUN first" approach, incorporating "Neighborhood Time" where children can make choices about their activities, similar to playing in a safe neighborhood. This includes options like specialty classes, outdoor sports, or counselor-led adventures. The camp also offers "Play Village Rooms" which include areas like a "Big Toy," "Book Nook," "Science Lab," and "Art Studio."

Field trips are a significant part of the camp's offerings, with planned excursions to local attractions such as parks, museums, libraries, and movie theaters. Water play days, ice cream truck visits, and magic shows are also on the agenda to add extra joy to the summer experience.

Safety is a priority for O2B Kids. The facility is video-monitored with front-door security. All staff undergo federal and state background checks, and are First Aid & CPR trained. The camp also implements rigorous safety protocols for transportation, including background checks for drivers, regular vehicle inspections, and strict roll-taking procedures during field trips.

The camp offers flexible enrollment, allowing parents to pick specific weeks or enroll their child for the entire summer. Extended morning and evening hours are available, with early drop-off starting at 7:00 AM and pick-up extending to 5:00 PM. Lunch and snacks are provided, though campers may also bring their own lunch from home.

Interested parents can contact their local O2B Kids director for a Summer Camp Calendar and further enrollment details. Flexible payment options are also available.
