ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Federal agents conducting an investigation contacted a Rochester man concerning an email he sent to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official. Agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) identified the email sender as David Streever. Agents initially visited Streever's residence in Rochester. He was not present at the time, as he was on vacation. An HSI agent subsequently located him at a hotel several hundred miles from his home. Agents informed Streever that his email, sent five months earlier, contained language that they stated could be interpreted as an illegal threat. The agents discussed the email with Streever at his hotel.
