At 259 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18 miles north of Walhalla, or 5 miles east of Highlands, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Clayton, Highlands, Sky Valley, Cashiers, Lake Glenville, Lakemont, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Oconee State Park, Lake Rabun, and Gorges State Park.
