Greencastle Wins Monon Conference Boys Golf Championship

Greencastle won the Monon Athletic Conference boys golf championship Saturday at Rocky Ridge Golf Club with a team score of 329, finishing eight strokes ahead of Crawfordsville.

Crawfordsville placed second with 337. Southmont (346), Frankfort (348), North Montgomery (359), Western Boone (363), North Putnam (373) and Cascade (381) rounded out the field.

Greencastle placed three golfers on the all-conference team: Lucas Downing, Bryson Worman and Ben Zellers. Crawfordsville's Jude Hunt and Owen Pierce also earned all-conference honors, along with Charlie Beardsley and Xavier McIntosh of Frankfort, Simon Castagno of Cascade, Isaac Hamby of North Montgomery, Austin Foley of Southmont and Luke LaGrange of Western Boone.
