The White Springs Town Council reviewed proposed changes to land development regulations and a new policy for town equipment use during its regular session May 2, 2024, at White Springs Town Hall. The meeting began at 6 p.m.

The council held the second reading of Ordinance 2024-03, which aims to amend the town's Land Development Regulations by establishing specific rules for accessory dwelling units (ADUs). The proposed regulations address various aspects of ADUs, including provisions for severability, conflicts, and an effective date.

In new business, the council considered Resolution 2024-08. This resolution would create a formal policy for the use of town equipment, providing clear guidelines for managing and utilizing town-owned equipment.

The council also approved minutes from previous meetings held April 4 and April 18, 2024. Reports were presented by the Mayor, council members, Town Manager, Town Attorney, Finance Officer, Public Works Director, Code Enforcement, Planning and Zoning, and the Historical Preservation Committee.
