The Main Library is downtown, the Mockingbird Branch is on the south side, and the Abilene Library Consortium is on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University. Our mission is to provide Abilene and the surrounding area opportunities to pursue lifelong learning and personal enrichment through: Free access to information, materials, and services; A professional, friendly staff; and a safe, comfortable environment.
