Dorothy "Dot" Louise Driggers McDavid, of Fort White, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2024. She was 84 years old. Dot was born on July 28, 1939, in Lake City, Florida to the late Willie & Ruby Driggers.

Dorothy "Dot" Louise Driggers McDavid, of Fort White, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2024. She was 84 years old. Dot was born on July 28, 1939, in Lake City, Florida to the late Willie & Ruby Driggers. Dot grew up in Lake City and graduated from Columbia High School. She married the love of her life, James McDavid, and they were happily married for 65 years until his passing in 2022. Together, they built a beautiful life and family in Fort White. Dot was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her family. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her free time, Dot enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones. She was an active member of the Fort White community and volunteered her time at the local school and church. Dot is survived by her children, Cindy Lamb (Johnny) of Lake City, FL; Jamie McDavid (Michelle) of Lake City, FL; siblings, Annette Parrish of Lake City, FL, Margie Crawford (Larry) of Lake City, FL, and John Driggers of Lake City, FL. 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside service for Dot will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Fort White Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Deesee Memorial Chapel.
