Fort Wayne High School Students Earn 12 College Credits

Staff Writer

Fort Wayne high school students can earn 12 college credits through Indiana Tech partnership

Fort Wayne Community Schools students who complete a four-year business curriculum can transfer up to 12 college credits to Indiana Tech and receive tuition scholarships under an agreement that began in May.

Students who finish the 3DE curriculum from freshman through senior year can apply approximately $16,000 in credits toward an Indiana Tech degree. They qualify for either a 3DE Scholarship, which reduces online undergraduate tuition by 20 percent, or the Traditional Merit Scholarship, ranging from $5,000 to $18,000 annually.

The 3DE model, developed by Junior Achievement, combines core academics with real-world business challenges. All five Fort Wayne Community High Schools use the program, which has boosted graduation rates, attendance and student engagement.

For details, contact Erica Lay, Indiana Tech associate director of admissions, at [email protected] or 260-215-9275.
