St. Lucie County students facing out-of-school suspension can access programs addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs. The Student Services Department facilitates these opportunities to ensure continued learning and support.
Students on out-of-school suspension may complete assignments for credit and engage in district-provided programs.
Available programs include the Apex Learning Virtual Program, an online option for all grade levels accessible through the student's school. The Saturday Alternative Program at Port St. Lucie High School serves all grade levels and requires a school referral.
Students may also be placed in In-House Suspension at their schools. High school students can fulfill community service hours as part of their suspension requirements.
