NextGen Information

NextGen Information Preparing for NextGen E-filers must do the following in order to file in NextGen: Obtain your own individual PACER account (link is external) or upgrade your existing individual PACER account (link is external). Please follow these instructions. Know your current FLSD CM/ECF login and password (if unknown, reset password). Link your PACER account with CM/ECF. Please follow these instructions CJA Panel Attorneys CJA Panel Attorneys CJA Panel Attorneys will need only one PACER account for filing and viewing in NextGen. If you have a separate exempt CJA account now, those exempt privileges will need to be added to your individual upgraded PACER account. Upgrading Your Pacer Account NextGen CJA Instructions CJA Navigating from NextGen to CurrentGen CM/ECF NextGen Activating CJA Privileges Frequently Asked Questions How do I know if I have an upgraded PACER account? Upgraded PACER accounts have usernames that are at least 8 characters. You may have upgraded your PACER account recently if you practice before another court that already has migrated to NextGen, such as the Eleventh Circuit. If your username is 6 characters, you do not have an upgraded account. Go to https://www.pacer.gov/ and click on Manage My Account to upgrade your PACER account. What happens to my CM/ECF account after the court transitions to NextGen? After the Court upgrades to NextGen, you will link your current CM/ECF account to your PACER account. After the accounts are linked, you will no longer use your CM/ECF username or password to file in this Court. My law firm uses a shared PACER account. Can we continue to use that account? Not for e-filing. Each attorney must have an individual PACER account to use for electronic filing in NextGen. The law firm can create a PACER Administrative Account (PAA) to manage the billing for all of the individual accounts. Staff members who share a PACER account for read-only access may continue to share an account. I linked my account when the Court of Appeals or another District or Bankruptcy Court converted. Do I have to link my account again? Yes, once Florida Southern District Court is live on NextGen, you must link your PACER account to your Southern District of Florida District Court CM/ECF filing account before you can file in this Court. I am a CJA attorney, and I currently have two PACER accounts. Will I continue to need two accounts with NextGen? CJA Attorneys will only need one PACER account for filing and viewing in CM/ECF NextGen. If you have a separate exempt CJA account now, those exempt privileges will be added to your individual upgraded PACER account; and your current exempt account will be canceled. About NextGen The Federal Judiciary has developed a Next Generation (NextGen) Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system that will allow attorneys to use the same account for both PACER and electronic filing access. The District Court for the Southern District of Florida plans to implement NextGen on January 27, 2020. The username and password that an e-filer currently uses to access the Court's CM/ECF system will not work with NextGen. Instead, an e-filer will be required to use an individual PACER login and password for access to the electronic filing system. What Is New For Attorneys In NextGen: Central Sign-On allows attorneys to maintain one account across all NextGen courts (appellate, bankruptcy, and district). What this means is that attorneys will be able to use one login and password to access all NextGen courts where they have permission to file, as well as to access PACER for all courts. In fiscal year 2023, GPO onboarded 190 teammates, 41 percent more than it did in the prior fiscal year. The Agency also produced a record number of passports in one year—more than 22 million—all while delivering products and services for all three branches of the U.S. Government. Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best Employers 2024 based on results found through an independent survey of more than 170,000 U.S.-based workers at America companies. The evaluation was based on respondents who were asked to rate their employer and if they would recommend their employer to others. Organizations with 1,000 to 5,000 employees were deemed midsize employers. Responses were given by current employees, employees who had worked for the company within the past two years, and individuals familiar with the company through friends, family or peers in their industry. GPO is the Federal Government’s resource for publishing trusted information for the Federal Government to the American people. The GPO is responsible for the production and distribution of information products and services for all three branches of the Federal Government, including U.S. passports for the Department of State as well as the official publications of Congress, the White House, and other Federal agencies in digital and print formats. Congressionally Mandated Reports

Congressionally Mandated Reports A Guide for Federal Agencies to Comply with the Access to Congressionally Mandated Reports Act Federal agencies must now electronically submit congressionally mandated reports after first submitting to Congress or any required committee or subcommittee of Congress through existing processes. The reports are published and made available to the public on GPO’s online system of access, GovInfo. Following submission by hard copy to either House of Congress or to any congressional committee or subcommittee, Federal agencies are required, no earlier than 30 days but no later than 60 days, to submit their congressionally mandated reports to GPO for publication in GovInfo, with limited exceptions. "The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) Youth Banner Art Showcase invited K-12 students to showcase their artistic creativity by designing new streetlight pole banners. Through this program, the FPRA funds the production and installation of the banners to be displayed within the designated redevelopment area, offering a unique platform for students to showcase their talents. This program not only celebrates local youth but also enhances public spaces with vibrant, student-inspired art. The Youth Banner Art Showcase program received an enthusiastic response, with 82 Fort Pierce students—from kindergarten through high school—submitting original artwork. Student designs will be showcased on banners displayed throughout the Peacock Arts District. The names of the participating students and their designs are listed below. The FPRA Board approved moving forward with all designs submitted for the Youth Banner Art Showcase. Staff is currently coordinating with participants and is awaiting a few remaining signed License Agreements to complete the administrative process. Once finalized, the project will move forward with banner production and installation."
