" We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our local partners that collected new toys as part of our annual toy drive. Toy collection boxes were places around the community in various stores and businesses. This year we had a number of new sites including four of the Grieco Automotive locations in Delray. Once gathered, the toys are sorted and displayed, leading to a wonderful “shopping” experience for our most under-resourced families. Our event on September 16th at the FRC Campus was a beautiful occasion where volunteers generously assisted families in selecting gifts and then wrapped them. A huge thank you to all our ACCF friends whose unwavering support illuminated the holidays for our children, making them a little more special. "

"USA Cycling has come out with the first annual national mountain bike calendar and I couldn’t be more stoked. The calendar has 53 events in 3 categories (cross-country, gravity, and ultra-endurance) and gives pro mountain bikers the chance to earn points toward an overall title to be awarded at the end of the season. I’m kinda surprised nothing like this existed before but it really adds excitement to the race season and helps get people pumped for local races."
" In a fantastic start to 2024 centered on promoting reading, Tommy Kirschner, an 11th-grade student at Pine Crest Ft Lauderdale campus, generously donated hundreds of books to our Family Resource Center. Tommy’s passion for fostering literacy began in 9th grade when he founded CLIMB (Children Learning in the Magic of Books) as a response to the pandemic. Teaming up with the OCHO project, he aims to enhance literacy among children lacking access to books. His mission revolves around providing gently used books to elementary-aged students, allowing them to select books they love and bring them home. Witnessing the excitement as our children explored the diverse book collection and picked out titles matching their interests was truly heartwarming. "
