Lee County Students Earn 364 AP Scholar Awards

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The School District of Lee County recognized 364 students from the Class of 2026 for earning Advanced Placement Scholar Awards. These awards acknowledge students' college-level achievement on multiple AP Exams.

Madison Farrah of Riverdale High School and Lorena Huang of Fort Myers High School earned the AP Capstone Diploma. This diploma requires scores of 3 or higher on AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP Exams.

AP Scholar Awards are granted at three levels: Scholar, Scholar with Honor, and Scholar with Distinction. Students from 11 high schools and Lee Virtual School received recognition.

Fort Myers High School reported the most awards with 63 AP Scholar Awards, 37 AP Scholar with Honor Awards and 71 AP Scholar with Distinction Awards. Cape Coral High School earned 95 AP Scholar Awards, 26 AP Scholar with Honor Awards and 38 AP Scholar with Distinction Awards. Riverdale High School received 25 AP Scholar Awards, 1 AP Scholar with Honor Award and 5 AP Scholar with Distinction Awards.

Other recognized schools include Cypress Lake High School, Dunbar High School, Gateway High School, Ida S. Baker High School, Island Coast High School, Lehigh Senior High School, Lee Virtual School, Mariner High School and North Fort Myers High School.
