
Canterbury School MUN Debates Spider-Verse Crisis in FL
Canterbury School's Model United Nations team recently hosted an in-house conference where students debated a fictional Spider-Verse crisis, earning recognition for their diplomatic efforts.

FORT MYERS, FL – Canterbury School's Model United Nations team recently hosted its annual in-house conference, transforming a campus classroom into the multiverse for a diplomatic challenge. The event, held Friday, September 11, tasked students with embodying various Spider-Man characters to resolve a fictional crisis.
Junior Secretariat members Ari M. ’28 and August V. ’28 managed the "Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse" crisis committee. Delegates debated and collaborated to draft directives addressing a multiversal threat. The conference provided students a platform to hone diplomacy, debate, and crisis management skills.
Delegates successfully resolved the simulated crisis by uniting to overcome the antagonist, The Spot. The collaborative effort demonstrated students' problem-solving abilities and the importance of teamwork.
Several Canterbury students earned recognition for their contributions. Nina F. ’28, portraying Spider-Noir, received the Best Delegate award. Victoria P. ’29, representing Peni Parker, earned the Outstanding Delegate award. Giuliana P. ’28, as Spider-Gwen, received the Honorable Delegate award. Drew C. ’28, representing Tom Holland's Spider-Man, earned a Verbal Commendation.
Numerous MUN club members volunteered their time to support the event.
