This watch indicates that tropical storm conditions are possible within the next 48 hours. The watch is set to expire on October 9, 2026, at 3:15 AM UTC (10:15 PM CDT).
Residents should act now to complete preparations. Winds are forecast to be 10-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Prepare for limited wind damage, including potential damage to porches, awnings, sheds, and unanchored mobile homes. Expect broken tree limbs and scattered power outages.
